Summer Adventures

Husband and I got away for a couple of weeks out West in our trusty vehicle.
(Really, we took the car).
We planned our trip around the temperature. The mountains of Utah beckoned after weeks of drought and heat here at home. We even got in some hiking near a place called Tony Grove Lake--when we got out of the car, I was actually chilly. What an odd sensation. The "spring" wildflowers were in full bloom up there.
Eh, let's face it, we have to go to Utah on a regular basis not for family and friends but for the real purpose of our pilgrimage--the one and only
(Utah State's signature gift to the world). Posted by Picasa

Howdy! I came upon your blog via
jo(e)s page. And lo and behold Aggie ice cream! We make a pilgrimage every year to Cache Valley from Arizona, and sad to say, this year we did not make it to get any ice cream! (sob!) However, we did have fresh raspberry shakes at Bear Lake - TWICE!! Raspberry Festival time - Yeah!

Hi, Amy! We missed the Raspberry Festival but we were there about the same time in Logan. Hmm, raspberry shakes. . .

Oh, hiking!

We missed it this summer: fallout from working around the Boy's bicycle accident. Sounds heavenly, I love when there's some chill in the air so that the sleeping bag, draped loosely and not zipped, feels "just right."
