Whew!
We're back!In the past two weeks, Husband and I have driven across major portions of Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and back on I-40 through Amarillo and Oklahoma.
One minor adventure: the tire blowout outside Albuquerque Tuesday evening. So we ended up staying in Albuquerque instead of reaching Tucumcari as we originally planned. So yesterday we drove 548 miles to get home.
Photos to come!

I'm glad you are home!! As I'm sure Houdini and Wilbur are glad too.
Ooh! Southwest roadtrip! Thats on our list of "things to do in the next couple years" - although, we might choose to do it at some other time of year...
How fun! Glad you are home though!
welcome back!
we had a tire blow out recently in Houston on a major freeway. Not exactly a minor adventure, as you suggest (and I doubt yours was minor either). Hope you did well and hope to see you soon!
Cute kitties in previous post!
I had the reverse problem in that part of the country - was traveling in the panhandle toward Alburqueque but there was a snow storm and they closed the road at Tucumcari. Try finding a motel room when your car is full of stuff you're moving across the country, including 2 cats, and the snow has pulled down power lines. Finally took a room at a motel that didn't have power (but it came on in an hour or two). I figured I didn't need light to sleep and could use sunlight in the morning if I needed to.
Anyway, sorry about the tire, but glad you are safe. And wow, you hit a lot of states! I'm envious.
p.s. I'm now a transitional deacon and have found a placement.
Blessings, bythesea
